✨ Celebrating 3 years of Flamenco on December 7 🥳

We can hardly believe it’s been 3 years since we launched SonDeBaril!  But really, this journey began 6 years ago if we count back to our first show, Dos Almas, in 2019.

Looking back, what stands out are those moments we connect beyond words.  Thank you for being part of our adventure - whether you joined us in the theater, helped make Madre possible, or sent your encouragement from afar.  

There’s so much to celebrate!  Come join us for an afternoon of live performances, festive sherry pours, and flamenco up close.  There will be three unique shows featuring special guest artists - come for one show or stay for them all!

✨ Proceeds support SonDeBaril’s next season - and the creation of our new work, Sin Fin. We can’t wait to share more soon!

More about SonDeBaril

SonDeBaril was founded in 2022 by dancer Ela Razon & musician Yiyi Orozco with the premiere of Evolución, made possible by the Maryland State Arts Council (MSAC). Evolución is about continuance, a tribute to our ancestors, and living this moment.

In 2025, Madre premiered at the Silver Spring Black Box Theatre, created with support from MSAC and a circle of intrepid supporters who love adventure. A stirring call to recognize ourselves as part of nature, Madre celebrates our great planet, being home, and belonging.

Each work is made in collaboration with remarkable artists whose unique contributions shape pieces that are alive, moving, and liberating.
